Congratulations to our team of Supervisors and Project Managers on successfully completing their Certificates IV in Leadership & Management. The training provided is part of the Tyrone Group approach on upskilling our employees and providing the tools neccessary to deliver our services both efficiently and successfully to our clients. Succession planning is a key focus of our company and we are delighted to have a team of focused and hard working management on our projects. The course was delivered by Lesley West from Better Link Business Consultancy and Training Services over a one year period.

Meet Tnisha Tonkin who has successfully completed her 2nd year Bricklaying apprenticeship with Tyrone Group. Tnisha is pictured at South Metropolitain TAFE Rockingham Campus with Bricklaying Lecturer David O Sullivan and is undertaking a Cavity Wall project. Its great to see females taking up Apprenticeships in Bricklaying - well done Tnisha. Keep up the great work!

Tyrone Group project wins top Architecture Award

Willetton Senior High School has been awarded the top prize at the West Australian Architecture Awards.

The Hassle designed building was awarded the George Temple Pool Award for its significant contribution to the advancement of educational architecture in Western Australia.

The Jury representing the Australian institute of Architects said “The project embodies architecture at the service of its community with its ability to enrich the lives of students, teachers and staff who use the buildings”.

Tyrone Group carried out the masonry package as well as the many intricate brick features in the new facility which sits on the existing 1970’s campus.

The new $42M upgrade is part of the $ 500M Southern Inland Liberal Government Initiative and is expected to take two years to complete.

Tyrone Group have recently selected a number of key individuals across the business to undertake a Certifcate IV in Leadership & Management - delivered by Lesley West  from  Betterlink Business Consultancy & Training Services.

Tyrone Group are investing in the Supervisor tier of the business to support future growth strategies. Investing in our people is paramount as they are the key links between our services and our clients. The course will run over 1 year and will arm participants with further key skills to manage projects and lead our employees.

Tyrone Group has completed a Heritage and Structural works contract on East Fremantle’s newest mixed use development which was originally a Brush factory.Works on the Category A listed Edwardian Style building began in June 2015 and works included the stabilisation and restoration of the original building well as the construction of 12 new apartments, a penthouse and offices in the adjacent site. The 116 year old brush factory building has been converted into a Restaurant/Jazz Bar as well as a performing arts studio. The Swan Brush Factory was owned by H Albrecht & Co and was opened by the former WA Premier John Forrest in 1901. It employed 18 people and produced a wide range of brush wares including brushes made from seaweed collected at the nearby Cottesloe Beach. The company ceased producing brushes in 1970 and in more recent years the building was home to Lauder and Howard who traded in Antiques and Fine Art. The newly refurbished building is due to open mid-2017.
